About Us

In Memory

Established in 2020 in Toronto,

Ontario, Canada

Welcome to The Pauls Charitable Fund, an organization dedicated to commemorating and honoring the legacy of Caroline Quinns, Ryan Njoroge, Kelli Pauls, and Rubi Pauls. Carol, Ryan, Kelli, and Rubi tragically died in the crash of a Boeing 737 MAX plane which crashed in Ethiopia on March 10, 2019.

The organization was started by Paul Njoroge, the husband to Carol, and the father of Ryan, Kelli, and Rubi. With this organization, Paul seeks to commemorate and honor the legacy, dreams, and aspirations of his wife and children through funding and execution of projects that positively impact the lives of vulnerable communities.

Our organization is run by a dedicated team of volunteers and staff who are committed to our mission and to serving the communities.

Induction of Our Third Cohort: Cohort Rubi

Empowering Young Scholars Through Opportunity

We are pleased to announce the official launch of Cohort Rubi on 7, January 2026, marking an important milestone in our ongoing efforts to support and nurture promising students through education.

Cohort Rubi comprises 30 bright and determined students, carefully selected through a structured and transparent process that considered academic performance, personal character, and demonstrated potential. This cohort reflects our focus on identifying learners who are motivated, resilient, and ready to take full advantage of educational opportunities.

The selection process emphasized both academic promise and personal growth, ensuring that students admitted into Cohort Rubi are well-positioned to benefit from sustained support and mentorship. As a result, Cohort Rubi represents a diverse group of young scholars prepared to embark on a transformative educational journey.

The launch of Cohort Rubi reinforces our commitment to investing in students and creating pathways for long-term impact. As these 30 students begin this new chapter, we look forward to supporting their progress and celebrating their achievements in the years ahead.

On November 7, 2025, The Pauls Charitable Foundation held its Annual Career Guidance and Mental Awareness Event in Nakuru, bringing together students from Cohort Ryan and Cohort Kelli for a day of learning, inspiration, and reflection.

This year’s discussions centered on four key themes: Personal Development with a focus on purpose, self-awareness, and drive; Character and Values; Academic and Career Growth; and Mental Wellness, which addressed drug awareness and navigating the puberty stage.

Through the sessions, students gained practical knowledge, explored their goals, and reflected on the importance of making positive choices in their personal and academic lives. The event reaffirmed the Foundation’s dedication to supporting its scholars’ overall growth by nurturing their academic excellence, emotional well-being, and sense of purpose in life.
